FAMILY & PLACE
OLD DOWNIEVILLE HWY
For four decades, Old Downieville Hwy. Nevada City was our home. A tiny shack of a house grew in size as did our family: two sons, a dog, a workshop, an office, a tree house, and more. The surrounding forest, along with Deer Creek and Bullwinkle Ravine, provided our family with a place to grow. The need for an additional room, an office, a tree house for the boys, and much more became opportunities for my imaginings to take form. Whether making a closet into a bedroom or rebuilding a crushed pumphouse, each became my creative outlet.
